Mishimoto engineered their Cold Air Intake to improve the performance of your EcoBoost Pony without the need to re-tune the factory computer (ECU) for operation, but they do recommend the use of a tuner to reach larger power gains.

The included Mishimoto high-flow filter operates at up to 2,000 CFM and features a 155% larger surface area than the stock panel filter to allow for more air flow while still providing excellent filtration of harmful contaminants. Mishimoto high-flow air filters are pre-oiled and reusable, so there is no need to go out and buy a new filter every few thousand miles. Now you can just clean the filter, re-oil it, save money, and go!
HEAT SHIELD INCLUDED
The Mishimoto Performance Cold Air Intake includes a black powder-coated heat shield that not only looks great, but also helps keep unwanted under-hood engine heat from entering the air filter at idle and low speeds.
