LESS HEAT, MORE POWER
Improve the performance of your EcoBoost F-150 by replacing the small, inefficient stock intercooler to reduce heat and produce more power. This intercooler is a direct fit replacement that features 120% greater volume than the OEM intercooler (core volume is 19.75" x 17" x 4"). As the chart above indicates, during independent testing the Atlas IC reduced Intake Air Temps. (IAT2) to 75 degrees while the OEM intercooler's temps. increased to 105 degrees where it matters most: on the street, and not at the dyno (note: runs were made on the same vehicle and the same stretch of road during similar ambient temps.). Cooler, more consistent charge temps. = more consistent power.
EXCEPTIONAL CONSTRUCTION FOR MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY
Manufactured from top-grade aluminum, the CVF Atlas Intercooler features a TIG-welded bar-and-plate design for maximum durability and fully cast end tanks to ensure maximum flow of air into the unit and out to your turbo - equaling more HP. The Atlas V2 update features an updated design which includes a condensation drain on the cold side end tank as well as direct fitment of the OEM BOV canister: no more VTA plug and adapter is required for installation on 13-14 models.

      Atlas v2 2014 f150

The intercooler is a beast compared to factory cooler.

Install was easy beyond the weight of cooler, did it solo so ratchet straps for the win. If using factory bypass valve (13/14) I believe, you need to clock it to the 3 oclockish position and press on cold side pipe, then lock it in and bolt down the bypass valve. It’s a tight fit but that wasn’t much of an issue. As far as fitment goes, that part is mint! Do expect to scratch it up a bit during install as it’s much bigger than factory. It’s cool here, no real testing on iat’s yet as truck is already a hog so without towing up a good grade… I will say the turbos seem to really come alive easy with very little throttle . I will report some real numbers once I put the high boost tune in. I’m going to say 5 stars for sure .

      2013 Limited

This was the first real mod done to this truck after my new engine and catch can. The installation was easy and straight forward if you are familar with general maintenance on cars and trucks. I used my neighbor to help when lifting into position and getting the lower rail installed. The massive Atlas intercooler will keep the intake temps much cooler while towing. The VTA adapter and outlet connections are tight, and the VTA only seems to fit with the vent facing up. The vent when activated makes a whistle sound and puts a smile on my face. You can use the original recirculation if you like, but VTA just sounds good (IMHO). Pictures showing the installed Atlas Intercooler, VTA, and lower rail mounting.

When I had ordered this and the Intercooler pipe kit there was a problem with my order. The customer service rep got a hold of me right away and was professional and thoughtful to my situation.I just received them in the mail and have no doubt it will work great. If not I know I can count on the reps to help with the problems

      Cvf atlas install

The intercooler construction was very good the extra weight compared to the oem unit made it hard to install laying on your back.

The turbosmart bov installation instructions were on the vague side didn't talk about the the removed electrical connection or that the existing emission tube needed to be plugged

      2013 3.5L CVF Atlas Intercooler

My upgrade to this intercooler was due to a family member rear ending another vehicle. Performance went down and I started down the rabbit hole of possible issues one being loss of boost. Removed the original to drain/clean it out and saw that weep holes were previously drilled for the awesome oil build up these are known for. I came across CVF never having heard about them and pulled the trigger based on reviews and price. This thing is stout and way bigger than Fords grand design. No buyers remorse here. Very happy with my purchase.
