2022 Bronco 2.7, Outer Banks Squatch. K&N CAI
I've been running another brand axle back exhaust for several months and have grown to hate it, too much drone and fart can sound under light load/cruising speed.
I ordered the CVF turbo back system about 2 weeks ago and it all shipped very quickly. I had it installed today.
The packaging, quality and fitment was great. Getting the factory down pipes removed and the new ones bolted on took 70% of the install time. I do think that if new down pipes where about 1.5 to 2 inches longer, the fit and clearance at the transmission pan would be better.
The system looks great and while I only have about 25 miles on the exhaust so far, it seems like it runs smoother with more throttle response. More torque for sure.
When you first start up the vehicle, you can hear a low smooth growl, buy after the brief warm up, it is very quiet; can hardly tell its running. While driving, its pretty quiet until you give it heavy load, which you can then hear but not in an obnoxious way. NO DRONE for sure. Now for me, when I change exhaust and pay this kind of money and get a high quality product like this. I kinda want to hear slightly more growl, which is almost non existent after warm up and only under significant load. I'm sure some folks will like this the quietness but IMO, adding an exhaust system like this, with downpipes, should add more performance sound, otherwise what's the point.
We unhooked the axle back portion and took it…
