CVF Performance Intercooler (2022-2023 2.0L/2.5L Ford Maverick)

This is my first CVF product and I am very pleased with the fit and finish of this intercooler. Installation is fairly straightforward. The stock intercooler heat soaks quickly, there’s a noticeable difference after installing the CVF IC.

On my last Maverick I adapted a Focus intercooler because there weren’t a lot if options yet, but with the CVF at this price point, there’s no reason to mess with couplers and custom brackets just to adapt a Focus or universal intercooler. CVFab is definitely the way to go.

I installed it on the trimmer package which the clearances much tighter than the other trims of the Maverick. The install was pretty straightforward the intercooler is held in by a support bar with three bolts, and then four bolts integrated with the tow hook so seven bolts in total to install it however, you have to remove the front bumper and do some trimming. It was pretty straightforward. The product is well-built.

I was looking for a replacement intercooler that didn't require a lot of custom fabrication or upgraded intercooler pipes and hoses. This intercooler was as close to a drop-in replacement as a significantly larger-than-stock unit could be. I was able to do the install in one day and did some before and after data logging to observe the net result. I have seen a greater than 20 degree drop in charge air temperature vs. the stock unit and the temperatures do not immediately s tart climbing under load, like what happens with the factory intercooler.

Overall, I am very pleased with the intercooler, installation, and final temperature reductions that have resulted from the swap.
