The CVF Y-Pipe (Resonator Delete) is an excellent upgrade for the Ford Mustang EcoBoost. I had mine professionally installed and couldn't be happier with the results. Not only did I rid myself of that "boat anchor" resonator, which by the way was also leaking (bad), the CVF Y-Pipe opened up the exhaust flow, providing faster acceleration and a really nice deep rumble for the exhaust note. The quality of the CVF Y-Pipe is exceptional and at this price, cannot be matched anywhere else. If you are on the fence about buying one, I say go for it!

Now I had mine professionally welded on because my clamps that were sent with it didn’t fit properly. Now with all that, this improves the sound of the car drastically. Makes a deeper note and a touch louder than normal. I have it paired with a axle back and the y-pipe compliments the axle back well. Overall definitely worth the purchase.

Just got it installed today. I'm in love with the sound. Doesn't increase volume but definitely gives it a deeper growl with the stick mufflers! Welds are perfect and overall construction it great. I have to say I'm very impressed with CVF I also have the street intercooler installed and am very impressed with that as well!

Replaced my factory resonator with this Y-pipe, and I will say it did not disappoint! However, when pairing this with my Flowmaster Outlaws it REALLY.. when I mean really woke up the noise in the car, a little more than I can admit I wanted. Very quality driven Y-pipe these guys at CVFab offer, I will confess. Welds on these pipes are so beautiful you could gaze endlessly, it's quite impressive. However, not the most satisfied with how the Y-pipe came to me. The contents within the box entailed two band clamps, the pipe and that's it! No instruction guide, manual, no link to video installation. I guess you get what you pay for? But then again, CVFab could do a better job providing support/instructions on installation. Don't get me wrong, you can get a solid idea of installation via youtube from other Y-pipe manufacturers, but CVFab should really consider offering that in the future (it was a pain figuring some things out on my own, but it got done!). Also, recommendation, the band clamps that are offered with the pipe weren't my favorite, could easily have more effectiveness with different type of clamp. Recommend having your exhaust system welded with this pipe if you go with this option. All around good purchase, but painful with the given clamps and lack of instructions/guidance.

Overall, I think the quality is great and the installation was ok. Some people said it was easy but for some reason, with my EcoBoost, I had to essentially pull the whole exhaust system back and it took a day to install (we tried it for 2 hours straight, gave up, came back the next day). The car does seem to pull better and the exhaust sounds much more throaty - I paired it with a NXT Step performance axle-back exhaust, and its sounds great with the two combined. It seems to have added a few horses and some girth to the exhaust tone.
The main issue I am having is that, at least so far, the exhaust flow is uneven. Not sure why; saw others on other sites mention that it is even. I have the straight pipe side on the driver's side, and the exhaust gas on my first few cold starts has mostly flowed from that side, all the while also being hotter than the gas on the passenger. Not sure how much of a problem uneven gas flow is (kind of a newbie at cars lol, just got into them last year).
Besides this, great product and great to pair with an aftermarket axle-back for a cost-effective cat-back.
