This intercooler is much better than the stock one. DIY install will save you a lot of money. However, there is very little information or tutorials on the installation process. However, after reading some reviews posted on this site and watching a few YouTube videos, I decided to install the CVFab intercooler in my garage. I learned from reviewers' mishaps/frustrations and did not attempt to tackle this project in one day. The first day, I disassembled the front-end components, grille, hot and cold pipes. It is highly recommended to remove the upper bumper cover. Since I bought an automotive trim tool kit, I haven't broken any plastic tabs of the bumper cover or grille. On day two, I installed the CVFab intercooler and pipes. The cold side pipe has a tight fit onto the intercooler. I used silicone spray on the fitting and pressed firmly to get the pipe to seat into place. Here's a tip: use the packing material foam and tape it to the front of the intercooler to protect the fins while fitting it into place. It took me about three or four attempts to get the fitment right. I did not have to cut any of the factory components, and the CVFab intercooler fit perfectly, even though it's about an inch thicker than the stock unit. The third day was the reassembly of the front end.

Huge difference from stock intercooler, fit and finish is stellar. I live in Florida so the truck will greatly benefit from it on the scorching hot summer season specially when hauling my Shelby GT350. i had doubts about buying in usa, instead the product arrived quickly without problems perfectly packaged.

I installed the intercooler (with pipes) today in my 2021 Ranger, and I can’t say enough positive. The install process is long and required some creative ways to reassemble, but it went right in with no modifications! I took it for a test spin already and zero concerns. I can’t wait to see how it really performs!
